Centre appointed as EIRIS research partner

The Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) and UK-based responsible investment research specialists EIRIS appointed the Centre for Corporate Governance in Africa as their local research partner in 2010 to conduct the research for the JSE Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) Index.

As part of the process of transferring knowledge and building capacity, the Centre handled the research of approximately two-thirds of companies in 2010, while the remainder were handled by EIRIS. In 2011 the Centre undertook the research of all companies.
