Erika Joubert has a BA and BA Honours degree in
Development Administration from the University of Stellenbosch and
has been working in the Southern African development sector for
more than 20 years, where she provided independent development
services since February 2003. Her work experience includes
lecturing at various South African academic institutions, working
in local government, as well as primarily in the NGO sector. She
has extensive experience in NGO/CBO capacity building, programme
development and evaluation, participatory research and needs
assessments (including the use of PRA/PLA methodology), organising
and provision of training in various topics such as the Project
Management Cycle and Logical Framework, the PRA/PLA methodology,
advocacy and lobbying, HIV/Aids and gender mainstreaming,
development of training methodologies, curricula, manuals and tool
kits, as well as coordination of networks and partnership-building.
Erika worked as a research analyst on the JSE SRI research project
in 2011.
