Prof Mervyn King
Prof King is a Senior Counsel and former Judge of the High Court
of South Africa. He has chaired and has been a director of several
companies listed on the Johannesburg, London and Luxembourg Stock
Exchanges. He is chairman of the King Committee on Corporate
Governance, chairman of the board of the Global Reporting
Initiative, president of the Advertising Standards Authority, a
member of the Securities Regulation Panel, past president of the
Commonwealth Association of Corporate Governance, a former governor
of the International Corporate Governance Network and a member of
the Private Sector Advisory Group to on Corporate Governance the
World Bank. He is professor extraordinaire in the College of
Economic and Management Sciences at the University of South
Africa.
